The Racing was wild during the Frostbite 250 this weekend at the PASS sanctioned Riverside Speedway.  I counted one hundred and nine cars on the track.  They started three wide, lining them up from turn 3 all the way to turn 1.  When all the smoke cleared Luke Shannon was once again the Frostbite 250 winner.
The Daredevils started the afternoon off.  I unfortunately got there late so I didn’t see any of it.  Randy Whittum took the win followed by Dan Benoit Jr., Desirae Sicard, Jarred Ainsworth, and Jenna Randall.
The PASS Sportsmen were up next.  Clyde Hennessey started on the pole with Dan McKeage outside.  Hennessey took the lead and Cary Martin moved to second.  On lap 2 David Fowler got into David Ofsuryk.  Contact didn’t seem too bad, but somehow Ofsuryk ended up with a hole in the oil pan.  Hennessey took the restart.  On lap 5 Mike Landry moved to third.  A caution flew on lap 28 for debris.  This time Martin took the restart and McKeage moved to second.  On lap 38 Landry regained third, and on lap 48 overtook second.  On lap 59 McKeage blew the motor and was done for the evening.  Martin takes the win followed by Landry and Hennessey.
The Dwarfs were up next.  Toby Merchant started on the pole, with Trevor Roy outside.  Merchant took the lead, and Eric Hall moved to third, then second.  Merchant overheats on lap 6.  Hall takes the win followed by Roy and Anthony Young.  In typical Hall fashion, he did victory donuts in both turn 4 and the front stretch.
The Enduro was really hard to follow.  One hundred and nine cars on the track was crazy.  This is the second race of the season I had to jump out of the way of a car heading towards me.  The 11vt, not sure who it was, the number doesn’t appear on the roster, got hit by Jeremy Perkins sending him into the turn three infield and hitting the pole that I was standing behind.  Lyndsay Christman’s car got turned in the backstretch.  With all the radio chatter about the current running order, the red was not thrown quick enough, and she was hit hard.  Her car is definitely totaled, but she walked away OK.   Ricky Labrecque looked like the one to beat until he pitted.  Luke Shannon took the win followed by Charlie Rockwell, Labrecque, Troy Randall and Lorin Vear.    Pictures and archived FANatic articles can be seen at http://racing.apcomptech.com   If you have any questions or comments or ideas email me at riversidefanatic@apcomptech.com
