PASS Super Late Models, Jake McDowell 100, and Monster Trucks Highlight Riverside Speedway’s Summerfest 2010
The 2010 Summerfest racing weekend extravaganza at Riverside Speedway has been scheduled for Friday July 30th and Saturday 31st. The two-day weekend is being sponsored by Gatorade, Dalton Mountain Motors, and the Marshall Insurance Agency. One of the highlights on tap for Friday night’s racing will be the prestigious 100 lap $1000 to win Jake McDowell Memorial street stock race. The street stock event is the second race of the three race Bond Auto Parts Triple Crown Street stock series at Riverside Speedway and over 50 racers are expected to try and qualify for the 28 starting positions. “We have seen our Town & Country Motor Inn street stock class have continuous growth over the last couple of seasons,” said Riverside GM Jean LeBlanc. “Drivers from neighboring race tracks Thunder Road, White Mountain Motorsports Park, and Oxford Plains Speedway, have all made inquiries about the Triple Crown series. You will see the best street stock drivers in the Northeast take part in Jake McDowell race.” Also on the racing card will be the North Country Ford Late Models, the Isaacson Structural Steel Angels, and the Caron Building Center Youth Daredevil racers. Returning to the high-banked ¼ mile speed plant for the weekend show will be Kyle Chandler and his monster truck Dominator. The Monster trucks are a huge Riverside fan favorite and will put on two shows, one on Friday and one on Saturday. On Saturday, the P.A.S.S. super late models take to the asphalt for 150 laps of high speed entertainment boasting some of the biggest names in the New England stock car racing arena. Young gun, Steve Legendre, of Danville Vermont, fresh off his third place finish at Dillon Motor Speedway should be on hand, looking to carve his name into P.A.S.S. North Super Late Model touring history. The P.A.S.S. Mods will also be on the Saturday night card beginning at 5 p.m. Riverside’s Budweiser Super Stocks, Jiffy Mart Cyclones, and the Sign Depot Tornado Mini-Trucks will all be in attendance. Riverside Speedway is located off of Brown Road in Groveton, NH. Visit the speedway’s website at riversidespeedway.org, for all of your up to date racing news.
