LEDGER,
LAMBERT & THEROUX CARRY
It was a day later than scheduled, but once again
the racing was red hot at the P.A.S.S. sanctioned
Jonathan Ledger grabbed a hard fought victory in the S.T. Griswold
Concrete Outlaw Sportsman division. He held off heavy pressure from runner-up
finisher Reggie Theroux and Doug Laleme. Completing the top five were Jean
Leblanc and Pete Gilcris. Theroux captured the qualifying win.
James Lambert came from the rear of the seventeen car starting field in
the Budweiser Super Stocks, and raced to a convincing win over Jeremy Lacoss.
Lambert got the jump on a lap 29 restart and never looked back. Following
Lambert and Lacoss were Luke Shannon, David Ofsuryk Jr., and Dan Sidney. Brian
Gosselin and Dan Sidney won their respective heats.
Rookie Alex Theroux scored his first career victory in the
It was a wild finish for the Twisted Tea Dwarf Cars, as Ernie Laplant
saw his engine going away with two laps remaining, but sputtered his way into
victory lane for the second consecutive time. Nathan Brown made a bonsai
charge at the line but fell a few feet short and settled for second. Third
through fifth went to Eric Hall, Bobby Riley and Dana Huoppi. Howard Switser
won the lone heat.
The Leo Enos Landscaping Riverside Angels ran an extra distance 50 lap
main event that turned out to be one of the most exciting races they’ve put
on this season. When the checkers flew, it was Jennie Dion nailing down the
win. Miranda Gervais, Traci Nelson, Linda Ball and Mary Eastman rounded out
the top five.
Dilyn Switser picked up his second win of the season in the Rookie
division of the Wildman Auto Daredevils. Cameron Bowen, Kristopher Russell,
Curtis Randall and Brendon Hunt chased Switser to the stripe. Cody Hodge
continued his winning ways, as he raced home ahead of Kyle Pembroke, Jesse
Switser, Brandon Lambert and Brett Gervais.
